Tribute & Message From The Family

Beloved Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather

Bernard Anthony Mochulski passed away on January 1, 2019.

He was born in Shamokin, PA, in 1932. A survivor of childhood polio, he attended St. Edwards School in Shamokin and was a graduate of Harper College, NY, where he met his sweetheart, Delores, married the day after graduation and remained married for 53 years, until Delores' passing in 2008. They lived in Drexel Hill, PA and attended St. Andrews Catholic Church.

Bernard was a Salesman for a packaging company, active in the Dairy Mixer association, Boy Scouts of America and a father of seven surviving children (and their spouses), Mary Roth, Julia Spayd, Martha Barnes, Sarah Anderson (Wayne), John Mochulski (Joan), Rebecca Van Pelt (Lee Post), Stephen Mochulski (Heather).

He is survived by 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Josepha Mochulski and Maria Christopher, of California.
Bernard was a courageous soul. If you were fortunate enough to have met him, your life would have been touched by a kind, personable man, who sacrificed for his family and who believed in the power of positive thinking. Bernard would always have a conversation and a story for you. He loved Villanova sports, the Philadelphia Eagles & Phillies, Temple University Radio Station and Jazz.

By donating his body to science, through the Humanity Gifts Registry, his hope was to advance medical research and education.

A family Memorial Celebration of Life will be private.

In memory of Bernard Mochulski, donations may be made to: Polio Survivor's Group, Pennsylvania.
