Tribute & Message From The Family

Loving Wife, Daughter, Sister

Deana Marie Eckman (nee DeRosa) passed away suddenly and tragically on Feb. 16, 2019, age 45 of Brookhaven. Deana worked as an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Alarm Funding Associates. She also worked as a manicurist at Salon Bella Amici. It was impossible to ignore the inner light that Deana Eckman possessed. It reached out to her beloved family and husband, to close friends, to her love of animals; especially her sweet Chooch. The person Deana was will always shine through every single person she touched. That is how we will never let that light go out. Deana's soul was the purest, kindest, and most generous soul. The positive energy and goodness that she put into the world led her to such a beautiful and blessed life. Deana was raised and surrounded by the loving DeRosa family: her parents, Rich and Roseann, sister, Janine, and brother Richie. She met and married the love her life, Chris Eckman. Their bond and relationship was so precious and built on love and friendship. She wore the special title of step-mom when she gained her step-daughter, Ashley Eckman, and was a fur-mom to her many pets—most recently her dog, Chooch. Deana was warmly welcomed and loved by the Eckman family, and was especially close to her late father-in-law, Tom Eckman.

The amazing thing about Deana, was that she created family in every single area of her precious life. She had a bond and closeness with her immediate and extended families, she had a special work family, and she found a family in her passions. She spent so much of her time with her work family over the years at Deonna's Nails, My Alarm Center, and most recently Alarm Funding Associates, Salon Bella Amici, and Monat. She created a family with her love of animals by volunteering her time for Rogers Rescues. She shaped a family out of her love of cars, and was cherished in her Jeep community. She was involved in raising awareness for causes close to her heart. Each year she walked in the Susan. G. Komen Breast Cancer walk and the Philadelphia Heart Walk. The way she lived her life was the same way we all feel when we look at a picture of her—filled with beauty, the biggest smile, and so much happiness. She appreciated everyone and everything in life, and she always saw the goodness in others. She was selfless, strong, and a steady source of joy. While she may have been tiny, her heart was enormous. And we will forever feel the enormous loss that is her life; we will never forget her, and we will remember to live in a way to honor her so that her light will never, ever go out.

Devoted wife of Christian "Chris". Loving daughter of Richard & Roseann DeRosa, cherished sister of Richie DeRosa and Janine (Howie) Guarini.
Relatives and friends are invited to her gathering Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 9-11:45 am, at the D'ANJOLELL - STIGALE MEMORIAL HOME, 3260 Concord Road, Aston.
Celebration of her life will be held 12 noon in our Main Chapel.
Interment will be held privately.
Donations: In lieu of flowers, donations in Deana's name can be made to Providence Animal Center 555 Sandy Bank Rd. Media, Pa. 19063

Condolence & Memory Journal

I was a regular customer of Deanna's when she
and Donna had their nail salon. We had so much
fun during those appointments and talked about all sorts of things. Even though I haven't seen
her in a number of years now, I remember her
fondly and am devastated at the news of her passing. My heart goes out to her family and my prayers are with them. She was a lovely person and a beautiful soul. She will be deeply missed
by many. God Bless.

I had the pleasure of sitting right next to Dean pretty much all 4 years of homeroom at Cardinal O'Hara. She was such a sweetheart, always with that big beautiful smile and able to put others in a good mood. Her star shone brightly in this life, and she will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to her husband, parents, and other family.

My prayers and condolences go out to all family and friends at this difficult time. I have known Deana for 6 years while working with her. She always had a big smile and was always a great conversationalist. From her explaining how her lift kit didn't fit on her Jeep to her thinking my son was a girl, lol. We always would laugh about that. You shining light was cut short way too soon. You will be missed ❤

Chris and Derosa's: I loved Deana so much. She was a sweet big hearted person whom I loved talking too. I loved talking to her about our dogs, Richie and of course Chris. She loved her family and she was devoted. She would do anything for anyone without hesitation. I called her Little Bit because she was so tiny. She always just laughed. We had a lot In common and she was easy to talk too and always told me to call her if I ever wanted to talk. God has her now and has big plans for her. She is never far from you. Her Soul is always with you. Memories you have will last s lifetime. Chris: stay strong. You have family and friends to guide you and be there for you. We are all here for you! Love you Little Bit!
