Tribute & Message From The Family

Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, and Uncle

Wendell J. Wigley, born January 23rd, 1949, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2019 at his home.

Beloved husband of 26 years to Celeste M. Wigley. Loving father of Cheyenne M. Wigley. Cherised brother of Michael Wigley and Stephanie Jones (David). Loved uncle to Eric Wigley, Tristan Jones, and Keegan Jones, Lynne Wigley, Delaney Jones, and many other extended family. Dearest son of the late Virginia and S.J. Wigley.

Wendell was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended John Marshall High School, graduating in 1967. He graduated from Oklahoma City University where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order alongside his best friend to this day, Barry Dixon. Wendell has lived in the greater Philadelphia area for the past 26 years with his wife Celeste and daughter Cheyenne. He enjoyed tennis, all forms of car racing, history, reading, and was an avid OU football and women's softball fan.

Wendell was in the transportation and construction industries, working for both General Electric, Caterpillar, and most recently after retirement, Jeff D'Ambrosio in Frazer where he found a love of selling high performance motor vehicles, which was always a passion of his.

He will be missed dearly by his family, his friends, and everyone at The Redhound Grille where he shared regular dinner dates with his wife.

Details regarding a memorial to follow.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Just heard the news of his passing. I am very sad. I got to know him pretty well last year when I was shopping for an Alfa, and he and I exchanged a million e-mails, and phone calls over the course of about 4 months until he finally found the one I wanted in Easton, Pa. He was a really great guy, very knowledgeable, and he and I talked a lot about life, marriages, his health (being a doctor). He was honest, humble, and a real straight shooter. I knew I could always count on him when it came to something about my new car. I got the feeling that he was like that with any of his friends. RIP Wendell. You will be missed by many.

I just heard the tragic news about Wendell's passing. I bought my beloved Alfa from him last year, and was impressed by his knowledge, candor, and good nature. May he Rest In Peace.

Wendell and I attended college together and were fraternity brothers. I lost track of him after he moved from OKC but kept up with him through a mutual friend. I hope Barry has heard ths, I'm sure he'd want to know.
My heart goes out to his brother Mike and the rest of his family.

Special man .. knew him less than 10 hours when purchasing my Alpha Romeo ... In 10 hours he showed what the character of a true gentleman is all about. I will miss his presence in this world. And, my prayers are with his family.
