Dearest Marie, we are so saddened by the news of Charlie's passing. What a wonderful and fun guy. All the jokes and clam linguini!! You are both in our thoughts and we love you.

My Uncle Charles - intolerably handsome, intensely wise, smart and just plain passionate about life, and loving and caring toward all. I have been fortunate to have a number of Uncles built like him...but all different in so many ways. Like different models of classic sport cars. Different names, different interiors but in the end all classic, in their unique individual ways. In God's way.
I am honored that this man was not only my uncle and my dear friend, but a wonderful man who profoundly embodied the splendor of living life to it's fullest...and always promoted the same to his family and loved ones. Also, a man embraced by friendships that were cultivated, cared for and nourished for many decades, and by so many.
While I honor here my Uncle Charles... in truth in his time, it is he - who honored us. Like my Uncles before him, Frank, Hank, Albert, Vince and Tony, it was his warmth, his compassion and his desire to care about and guide correctly, a nephew like myself from an early age. To make sure that I did what was right. Uncle Charles great sense of humor and playfulness throughout my life, just added to his splendor.
My uncle had a wisdom that, if I am fortunate, has rubbed off on me. Its value is unequaled. It is a wisdom which inspires compassion, gratitude and appreciation. How can you not care for someone so dearly, who so effortlessly made you a better person - just by being in their presence?
It is an honor to call Charles Melazzo my Uncle.
It is a privilege to know he was my friend and,
It is a blessing to know him as a man.
We are all fortunate for the gift of his company, which did not last nearly long enough.

Dear Family,
I am terribly sorry to hear about Charlie passing away. I remember calling several weeks ago, hoping to speak with him. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to have that conversation. However, knowing what I know now , I would have thanked Charlie for the 10 years of working for for me . Charlie brought class and dignity to my barbershop. I was fortunate to have such a skilled and experienced barber that Charlie was. Many customers to this day still ask about Charlie, but sadly I have to explain the somber news to those, who experienced the great service that Charlie provided .

Dear Marie, Dian and Gina.
Our deepest sympathies at the loss of your loving husband and father. Charlie will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. This includes all of the folks at village Green who came to appreciate his special way and great sense of humor. He was a class act. No doubt that he is with the angels now.
Love,
Lynn and Joe
