Harry E. Heatherby, Jr. age 68 of Norristown, PA., passed on August 8, 2019.

Beloved husband of Eileen (Cybulski) Heatherby; devoted father of Joshua (Maryanne) and Julie-Kay Jost (Ryan); adoring Pop-Pop to Logan, Haylie, Abby and Natalie. Harry enjoyed life to the fullest. A graduate from Yeadon High School, class of 1969, Harry pursued a passion for meteorology at Utah State University before finding his calling as a financial consultant. Over an accomplished career of more than 46 years, Harry worked at PSFS, Malvern Federal and eventually found a second home at DLL for the last 12 years of his life. He was a Master Mason in the local Fernwood Lodge # 543. Harry loved sports and participated as a coach at Yeadon boys club. Ran motor rallies with his yellow dodge charger, bowled in the Yeadon Presbyterian league, and was a competitor in golf amongst many friends including mini golf with his family. Once his kids joined swimming, Harry dedicated himself to be a stroke and turn starting official for the Norristown Area Aquatic Club (NAAC) for 13 years, including 2 years as Co-President. Harry was a drummer in a band for many years and enjoyed listening to all rock music. He especially enjoyed The Rolling Stones, The Who, and Elvis Presley. Harry also was a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan and in his lifetime was able to witness a championship in every professional sport. The most recent was his beloved Eagles. Later in life Harry lived for his family and spent many vacations in Disney World and relaxing on the beaches of Wildwood and Hilton Head island, enjoying the sunrises and sunsets, moon lit walks, and teaching his grand kids how to body surf and boogie board.

Condolence & Memory Journal

I did not know Harry directly, he was a business acquaintance whom I would call directly every month in order to pay an invoice for my business. Yet, it was my favorite phone call to make every month. He was always so jovial and always brightened my day. We'd chat about the weather in the Pacific Northwest compared to PA and about my family back in PA and other things. Such a simple thing, paying a bill, but yet Harry made such an impact during those phone calls that I am deeply saddened by his passing. He touched my heart through those simple interactions so much that I felt I really must express to his family and those who really knew Harry my deepest condolences. Please know how much he impacted even a complete stranger just by doing his job. I think this is the greatest illustration of Harry's magnanimity. Peace be with you all, and God bless!

I am the husband of Harry's wife's brother, i.e. Harry's brother-in-law. I have known Harry for 20 years. Harry was a man who would give you the shirt off his back, ready to help you and be your friend. He and I loved to discuss politics and he also loved all the Philly sports teams. On the 4th of July and New Year's Eve he set off fireworks for us to enjoy. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather (pop pop), brother, uncle and son, an all around super guy, and his family and friends will miss him. Peace to you, Harry.
