Condolence & Memory Journal

I just saw this and it saddens me. Rich was a mentor to me. He gave me untold opportunities and many of the good things in my career only came about due to his belief in me. There is no one I thought more highly of.

Very sad to hear of Rich's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Rich a number of years ago and we quickly became good friends and colleagues. I had tremendous respect for him as a business man and admired him for how much he cared and loved his family. He will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to Anne Richie Jr and Cindy for the loss of someone so special in your lives. Rich was an amazing man who dedicated his life to his family and to those causes he felt worthy: he was definitely a role model to look up to. I am a second cousin but because of my mom, Connie, we were always very much intertwined with the DePiano family. My mother loved Rich and Anne as if they were her own children and she spent many hours with them from babysitting Rich when he was young to working for Ann in her later years. She loved every minute she spent with your family and we came to love all of you as well. You have such beautiful and crazy memories of Rich to cherish And to keep alive in your hearts. I know my mom was waiting with outstretched arms to greet him as he crossed over. Aunt Mary and Uncle Dan were tight there with her too!! Rich will now watch over all those he loved and he will make sure you know you are loved. I will miss you cuz. Maybe you can get the cousins club going in heaven. Those were some of the best family get togethers. No more crappy pain, just the love of those who cherished you here on earth and those in heaven too!!
