Tribute & Message From The Family

Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Sister

Lucie DiBenedetto (our "Noni") of Broomall, PA passed away on October 6th, 2019 at the age of 97. A native of South Philadelphia, Lucie graduated from South Philadelphia High School at the age of 16 having skipped a year of school. She was the consummate wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, relative and friend. All who knew her would describe her as an angel on earth. Her laughter was infectious, her heart was "good as gold", and her wisdom was profound. She was the wife of the late Anthony DiBenedetto, a WWII veteran and POW. Their love and devotion to each other was beautiful; they were married for 70 blissful years. Her family has wonderful memories of summers spent in Ocean City, N.J. Sunday dinners, and holidays wrapped in "Noni's" love and fun-filled spirit!

In the early 70's, Lucie was a reading aide at Strath Haven Middle School in Wallingford, PA. Later that decade, she was the well-respected and admired office manager of Comcast Cable Co. when it first opened its doors for business in this area.

Family Members: wife of the late Anthony DiBenedetto, devoted mother of Cindy (Barry Holms) and Kim (Steve Newton), loving grandmother ("Noni") to Matthew (Meighan), Kelly, Noelle, and Devon, great-grandmother to Matthew and Jackson, sister to the late Mercedes Boerner and loving "aunt and second mother" to Pam Hayes and the late Lance Boerner. She was the sister-in-law to Loretta Tamaccio, Robert DiBenedetto, and the late Dominic, Michael and Alfred DiBenedetto.

Donations can be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
A private memorial service will be held.
