Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Sister

GERACE

Micheline G. "Mickey" (nee Fasano) Gerace, 93, passed away on February 6, 2020, surrounded by her children at Harlee Manor in Springfield, PA.

Micheline was born in Lock Haven, PA on April 24, 1926, the daughter of the late Lucia (Caputo) and Angelo Fasano. Mickey worked at Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven prior to graduating from St. Agnes School of Nursing in 1950. While working as a Surgical Nurse at St. Agnes, she met and married her husband, Salvatore, in 1957 and lived in Drexel Hill, PA.

After raising her children, Mickey worked as a Registered Nurse at Haverford Hospital from 1976 until her retirement in 1991. She was dedicated to her family and known for her superb cooking and sharp mind. Mickey was an avid reader, Jeopardy fan, and enjoyed discussing current events.

She was the widow of Salvatore A. Gerace, who passed away in 1997, and pre-deceased in 2011 by her son, David (Noreen) Gerace. Also predeceased by her brothers: Vincent, Gerard, Angelo, Anthony, Joseph, and Charles; and her sister, Sanitella Serafini.

She is the beloved mother of Christine (Joseph) Weber, Stephen (Kim) Gerace and Karen (Craig) Sockel; loving grandmother of Michelle, Kayla and Carly; sister of Franklin Fasano; and many nieces and nephews.

All services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
