I got to know Emily over the past 10 years or so in Swarthmore, PA. She was a lovely, intellectual, and artistic woman who was always interested in hearing what I had to say and getting to know me as a friend. I miss her sweet personality and curious, lively mind. May she rest in peace.

Dear Emily,

Today it's warm and the daffodils are in their glory . . . so many varieties. I'm remembering how we once took walks to see them, and you photographed them so beautifully. In later years, I would visit you every year at this time to deliver a bouquet from our garden.

I miss talking with you. I wish I could bring you daffodils today.
Sending love -
Bere

Dear Al, Emily, Anne and Lisa,

Your mother was such a vibrant person, artistic, caring, observant. I am grateful for her friendship, and share in your sadness at the loss of such a wonderful lady.

I love the tribute you created for her. She would admire the pictures of the cosmos in the wind.

This lovely woman was kind to everyone. I would see her at many Swarthmore Friends Meeting events, helping and smiling. This is a loss for us all. We are holding your family in the Light Emily. Your friends - Paul and Virginia

Bere and I especially loved visiting with Emily, and bringing her flowers when the daffodils bloomed. She would sometimes come by and photograph the daffodils and the irises in bloom. She was remembered today at the Swarthmore Friends Meeting. Jim Saxon
