Message From The Family

MaryEllen Harley, age 46, of Venice, California passed unexpectedly on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021.

Born October 21st, 1974 in Philadelphia to loving parents Thomas and Catherine Harley. MaryEllen was raised in Philadelphia and graduated from West Catholic High School in 1992. She went on to earn a Bachelors of Science from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science in 1996. While in college MaryEllen worked for Urban Outfitters in their retail store. Once she completed college she then began as a fashion designer for Urban Outfitters, then Free People. As a long-term employee for URBN, this is when MaryEllen had the opportunity to travel the world.

MaryEllen even started her own label, Bandit, before moving on to Venice, California to work for Pac Sun (where she had the chance to do celebrity collaborations), LA Made, and a private label.

In addition to her incredible creative career, MaryEllen was highly involved in functional nutrition, so much so that she took challenging courses to become a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

MaryEllen was gentle and kind, one who loved to laugh. She had love and compassion for all animals, especially adopting dogs in need.

Survivors: siblings Catherine, Monica (Dan), Helen (Frank), Bernadette (Bill), Tommy (Kathy), Christopher (Carol), Bridget and Andrew. She was a loving aunt to 17 nieces and nephews and a great aunt to 14.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend MaryEllen's visitation on Friday, June 11th from 9:00 am. to 11:00 am., at the D'Anjolell – Stigale Memorial Home, 3260 Concord Road in Aston, PA 19014. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:00 am. Interment Private.
