Tribute & Message From The Family

Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather

Carmen "Charles" age 96, of Overbrook, PA passed away on September 2, 2021.

Charles was proud to serve as a World War II B24 Liberator Mechanic in the Army Air Corps. He was a piano technician at the Lester Piano Company before becoming a USPS Mail Carrier from the Overbrook Station 19151 for 26 years. He enjoyed working as an usher for the Philadelphia Eagles for many years. If you own a Lester piano you might find his initials carved inside at the third key from the left. And yes, he did serve mail to his own home on Atwood Road. He was thrilled to celebrate at the 2018 Eagle Super Bowl parade wearing his vintage green Eagles jacket. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. His favorite pastime was "collecting things" and tinkering.

Charles was predeceased by his beloved wife Marie (nee Testa) Tramo. He is survived by his loving children, Peter (Lucille), Roseanne Gale (Joseph), Donna McLaughlin (Joseph) and Frank; his 8 adoring grandchildren, Danalynn, Peter, Lauren, Joseph, Joseph, Stephen, Sean and Katiemarie; and his 3 cherished great-grandchildren Gena, Isabella, and Genevieve.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 10:00AM-11:00AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM (ALL IN CHURCH) at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 63rd & Lancaster Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19151. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA 19050.

Donations in his memory may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
