Loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister

Christine Ann Germano.

Born Christine Ann Roberta on August 22, 1931 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, died on November 8, 2021.

Christine was a standout athlete and scholar at Collingdale High School. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital School of Nursing. Christine worked as a surgical nurse until she was married in 1953, then moved around with her then husband, until she went back to her beloved Springfield, Pa to build their home. Christine and her family moved to Simsbury, Connecticut where they raised their two sons. Christine worked as the School Nurse at the prestigious Ethel Walker school for girls. For more than 20 years she was a NICU Nurse at the University of Connecticut health center, from which she retired in 1996. She had many colleagues and patients who benefitted from her care and knowledge. In 2002, Christine moved to Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, where she was active in her homeowners association and volunteered at Longwood Gardens.

Christine was predeceased by her parents, Christine and Albert Roberta, and her sister and brother in law, Jean and Tom Larkins.

She leaves behind her beloved sons, Richard and his wife, Carole; Mark and his wife, Donna, and their three cherished children, Joseph, Lauren and Danielle. She is survived by her sister Nancy (William) Wilson; her brother Albert (Cheryl); and many nieces and nephews.

Christine was loved and respected by her neighbors from both Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

Services handled by the D'Anjollell Memorial Homes in Broomall, Pa. Mass at 10 am at St. Patrick Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square, PA. Following the Service, Inurnment at Saints Peter and Paul cemetery, 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield, PA. 19064
