MENTO

Judith A. (nee Sprague), "Judy," age 74, of Springfield, PA, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior, surrounded by her family, on August 22nd, 2019. She was born to the late Morton and Margeret (nee Collins) Sprague of Yeadon, PA. She was a 1962 graduate of Yeadon High School. Throughout her life she embodied the qualities of humility, class, kindness and grace.

Her servant's heart shined in every facet of her life, as evidenced by her desire to help others and put their needs before her own. Judy pursued an early career as a phlebotomist at Lankenau Hospital, and after her children were grown, Judy enjoyed a successful second career as one of Delaware County's favorite realtors. For the past 30 years Judy helped families to find their perfect homes. She was an active participant in her church, volunteering in the nursery at Aldan Union for three decades and singing in many Christmas Cantatas. Though she wore multiple hats -- career woman, volunteer, homemaker and more -- it was her roles as "Mom" and "Mimi" of which she was most proud; Judy cherished and loved her children and grandchildren fiercely.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, loved singing and was an avid reader. As a life-long learner Judy began learning American Sign Language and Italian in the most recent years. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining and Monday-night sushi. Walking the beach, and picking shells along the shore, was her heart's content.

She is survived by her devoted husband Richard, with whom she was due to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this coming November; her loving children Rich & Josh, Doug & Alison, and Laura & Kevin, and her adoring grandchildren Sarah, Hannah, Emily, Grant, and Wyatt.

"Well done, good and faithful servant!" - Matthew 25:23
