Robert P. Jr., age 90, of Berwyn, PA on Dec. 11, 2018.

Beloved husband of Mary Hughes Quigley, brother of Rita Ryan (late Thomas)of San Francisco Ca. Also survived by his children Robert P. III (Beth), Thomas A. (Amy), Matthew J. (Cathy), William I. (Helena), Lisa Q. (Rick) Curran, and Denise Quigley, 19 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren.
Robert was the longtime president of Murphy Quigley Co., the oldest family owned (1888) General Building Contractors in Phila., longtime member of American Arbitration Association.

Bob was known amongst his friends as an outspoken conservative Republican and devout Catholic. He was born in Oakmont, (Havertown) PA and raised in Overbrook, PA , attended Our Lady of Lourdes Grade School, graduated from Malvern Preparatory School in 1945. He received the Proficiency in Athletics Award for football, basketball, and baseball. He played for several years for the semi -pro baseball team, The Germantown Artisans. He graduated Wharton School, U. of P. in 1949, also from the Spring Garden Institute, served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Crisis. Bob was a longtime member and former Chairman of The Board of Trustees of Malvern Preparatory School, and an affiliate of the Order of Saint Augustine.

In 1953 Bob married the love of his life, Mary Margaret Hughes and settled in Drexel Hill, joined St. Dorothy's R.C. Church, raised 6 children, moved to Villanova and retired. They also spent their winters at their home in Naples, Fl. Both being golfers. They belonged to Llanerch, Overbrook, Hershey's Mill, and in Florida The Strand and The Hideout.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday morning 9:30A.M. – 10:45 A.M. and Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M. at St. Monica's Church 635 First Ave., Berwyn, PA 19312. Interment Private.
